You can add cryptocurrencies to your wallet in two ways:

1. Using the buy function, you will be able to connect to your Easy Crypto account to purchase cryptocurrency.
2. Using the receive function, you will be able to share your wallet address, so that someone can send you cryptocurrency directly.

Transaction fees can vary depending on the current network activity and the specific cryptocurrency you are using. The Easy Crypto wallet offers different fee levels for you to choose from, depending on how fast you want your transaction to be processed.

Transactions can be tracked in the transaction history of the Easy Crypto wallet, or by using a blockchain explorer. The transparency of the blockchain allows anyone to view and verify transaction details using a unique identifier called a transaction ID (TXID). Each transaction that occurs on a blockchain is assigned a TXID, which serves as a digital fingerprint to uniquely identify and track that specific transaction.

To ensure the safety of your funds or assets in your Easy Crypto wallet, there are several key practices to follow. First, enable strong security features such as two-factor authentication (2FA) to add an extra layer of protection. Double-check wallet addresses before initiating any transactions to prevent sending funds to the wrong destination. 2FA is an extra layer of security used to make sure that people trying to gain access to an online account are who they say they are. It combines something you know (like a password) with something you have (like your phone). The Easy Crypto wallet uses a PIN and biometrics to provide 2FA, and this can be extended to require a hardware wallet for enhanced security.

Easy Crypto's wallet is self-custodial, which offers you complete control of your wallet and means that creating a backup is crucial for safeguarding your digital assets. If you lose access to your wallet (due to device loss or malfunction for example), a backup will be the only way to retrieve your cryptocurrencies.

Backing up the Easy Crypto wallet ensures that you can still access your crypto assets if you lose your device or it gets stolen. We have an easy to follow backup process in the app. 

1. Social backup: Invite 3 or more trusted family or friends to help you recover your wallet

Yes! The backup keyshare is encrypted. Even if your cloud storage was compromised, the encryption still keeps your backup secure from attackers. In the highly unlikely event that both your cloud storage and the encryption was compromised, an attacker would only have access to your keyshare. As two keyshares are required to make transactions, the second keyshare being stored securely with Easy Crypto, the attacker could still not access your wallet. The backup is stored as a hidden file. You can check the status of your cloud backup by visiting: Wallet settings ⚙️ > Backup > View Cloud Backup

If there is a green tick next to your cloud provider (iCloud or Google Drive), it means your wallet backup is active.

MPC is the latest advancement in wallet technology and has numerous advantages over traditional, seedphrase based wallets. There are multiple vulnerabilities with a seed based approach:

1. If a user's device was compromised, e.g. though malware, an attacker could get access to the user's seedphrase
2. Storing a seedphrase can be difficult to do in a secure way
3. Anyone with access to the seedphrase can transfer crypto out of the wallet

MPC addresses these vulnerabilities and enhances security. When a wallet is created, MPC generates two keyshares. One is stored locally on your phone. The second share is securely stored on Easy Crypto's Google Cloud, using Confidential Computing for breakthrough security. To confirm a transaction, both the wallet owner's and the Easy Crypto keyshare are required.

Even if a user's device is compromised, an attacker would only have access to one keyshare and wouldn't be able to move any of the crypto within the wallet. MPC also allows us to require additional security measures, such as logins and multi-factor authentication to ensure a transaction comes from the owner of the wallet. Easy Crypto does not have access to your funds, as we only store one of the two required keyshares.

Yes, it is possible to recover your account if you forget your password. From the login screen, simply click on the forgotten password link and follow the prompts. Note, this process will only regain you access to the application. If you're logging in on a new device then you will also need to restore your wallet to gain full access to your funds.

1. Keeping your app up to date with the latest released version is crucial for maintaining security. App updates often include security patches, bug fixes, and enhancements that address fixes identified in previous versions. By regularly updating your app, you ensure that you have the latest security measures in place to protect your data and transactions.
2. Enabling biometric authentication: Biometric authentication, such as fingerprint or facial recognition, adds an extra layer of security to your app. By enabling biometric authentication, you ensure that only you can access the app using your unique biological traits. Biometrics are more secure than traditional passwords and offer convenience by eliminating the need to remember and input complex passwords. You'll have the option to do this at set up or you can head to menu in the app to do it at any time.
3. Back up your wallet using Secure Cloud Backup to reduce the potential of losing your backup keyshare.
